ARCHITECTURAL
We provide a full architectural service. The typical project structure is set out below and explained briefly.

STAGE 1: INCEPTION
Meet with clients, set up a brief, discuss budgets, rights, development parameters and provide a quote for services required.
STAGE 2: CONCEPT AND VIABILITY (CONCEPT DESIGN)
Produce and amazing conceptual design based on the brief, budget and site constraints. Present to the client in the form of diagrammatic plans and 3D images.
STAGE 3: DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Further develop the concept into a fully resolved structure with finishes, materials and constructions methods. Produce a set of drawings including plans, sections and elevations that can be distributed to other professionals. Ensure client approval with the aid of 3D images.
STAGE 4: DOCUMENTATION AND PROCUREMENT
4.1 Produce a full set of "Council Drawings" for submission to local authorities, estate management and distribution to other professionals
4.2 Produce tender / construction drawings for costing and contracting of builders.
STAGE 5: CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
In-house services are available in special conditions, but generally JLNA will connect clients to appropriate QS and PM professionals to ensure a well executed budgeting and construction process with the correct contractual and administrative control
STAGE 6: CLOSE-OUT
Assist with documentation for occupation and building hand-over to client

DESIGN
Our design approach is client-centric and site-specific... Every brief is developed to suite the bespoke needs of the user and crafted to fit into it's environment.
Concept development take high priority to ensure that designs are rooted in strong ideas.
Sketch designs are communicated and presented to clients for feedback and approvals before executing technical documentation.
More than just buildings. Our skills include interior, landscape and graphic design, as well as a deep appreciation of art to ensure a well rounded and meaningful architectural expression.
ABOUT
HI, I AM JACQUES.
VISUAL
Our passion extends beyond the physical manifestation of structures and buildings. We assist with graphic layouts for presentations aiding in the communication of ideas for funding, exploration of concepts and where amazing visuals are required.

Our skilled team produce 3D models, renders and fly-throughs with exceptional quality and photo realistic imagery.
​
Furthermore 2D graphic skills are available where layouts, logos and brand identities become part of the project.
​
We have worked extensively with artists to bring incredible concepts to life by developing large and small scale artworks from idea - to paper - to installations.
I graduated in 2011 with a MArch Professional degree from NMU, PE. I am a registered professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession.
JLNA was born (the same year as my son) in 2017 and I have since worked on projects all over South Africa and am
currently collaborating on projects in Africa and Europe.

I am at my core a designer with a fine eye for details, bespoke finishes and inventive space making.
